Arm your child with self-defense. Our specialized programs will teach your child to be safe, follow instructions, and improve concentration in a fun, positive atmosphere.
What Your Child Will Experience
American Taekwondo Association's (ATA) fast-paced, fun-filled classes are approximately 30 minutes long. The goal of the Tiny Tigers Program is to learn through having fun in structured and safe Martial Arts classes. In this program we understand that each child learns and grows differently. Each child moves at his or her own pace and can feel the satisfaction of a personal victory. Classes become more challenging as each child demonstrates the readiness to accept more complex skill.
The ATA martial Arts Formula
The ATA Martial Arts Tiny Tigers program is the perfect choice for your preschooler or kindergartner. Your child will have fun while learning developmental skills, all within a safe, healthy and exciting environment. Our program works unlike any other children's activity simply because it has the perfect blend of fun and learning.

There are many reasons for kids to become involved in American Taekwondo Association (ATA) Martial Arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate for Kids. The Karate Kid system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills.
Martial Arts Is Great For Children
A psychological study found that children in martial arts have an increased sense of responsibility and a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks. They also have a high sense of self-esteem. This is why millions of parents are using martial arts to supplement their children's formal education.
Parents enroll their children in ATA's programs for different reasons, but with one common goal: to help their children grow and mature to the best of their abilities.
Parents play a unique role in their children's training, acting as the liaison from the martial arts school to the home. The more an instructor knows about a child's home and school life, the better he/she can work with the child and the parent.
Our Reward System Improves Children's Self Esteem
Our belt and award systems are the keys to building self-esteem. When kids earn their belts or earn award stars for grades, it gives them a great sense of accomplishment that really improves the way they feel about themselves.
Our Program Teaches Children Discipline
We have a trained staff of patient instructors who love to work with children, but are also very clear about limits. We enforce good rules and behavior in class and we expect the same good behavior at home and in school.
Our Activities Channel Children's Aggression
Many doctors have prescribed our school because of the positive outlet it gives the kids for all their energy. In fact, studies have shown that children who learn self-defense become more assertive and less aggressive.
Self-Discipline + Self-Defense = Self Confidence
Children who feel good about themselves and know how to defend themselves carry themselves in a confident way. That itself is a deterrent to bullies or anyone else who may be a threat.
Why Is ATA Martial Art Training So Popular?
Martial Arts training is so popular because no other activity can provide the same positive results on a personal level for each individual participant. Whether your goals are self-confidence, self-defense, personal development, fitness, flexibility or to earn a black belt, our school will take you and your children there. ATA Martial Art's instructors are dedicated to helping you and your family achieve your specific goals.
The American Taekwondo Association (ATA) trains each student to the best of their ability. Some students begin their training in shape while others begin 100 pounds over weight. Many enroll with limited flexibility. It is never too late to start training in Martial Arts. As a student, you are looked upon as an individual, never compared to anyone else. ATA's instructors will be there every step of the way. All that is expected of you is a willingness to try and persistence not to give up.

Fitness: The principles of ATA Taekwondo techniques are based on the design of your body. Each person's body is different, but the beauty of ATA Taekwondo is to know how to use your own body. ATA teaches fitness through the Martial Arts in every class. ATA fitness is made up of three important aspects: cardiovascular training, strength training, and flexibility.
Self-Defense: As a beginner at ATA, one will learn how to deter attackers through long-range techniques. As a student progresses through the training, the student will then focus on close-range techniques, throws, and take downs. Both men and women enroll in ATA Martial Arts training for the confidence to know they can defend themselves, and confidence alone is usually enough to deter potential attackers.
Self-Confidence: Some enroll in ATA Martial Arts with self-confidence already instilled in them, while others do not. Having self-confidence does not come naturally for many people, but self-confidence may be developed over time. As a student accomplishes new goals through ATA Martial Arts training, the confidence level increases. ATA Martial Arts instills a sense of discipline and self-confidence that can carry over to all aspects of your life including home and work.
American Taekwondo Association (ATA) Xtreme Martial Art (XMA) is a combination of techniques, methods of movements and philosophies from many Martial Arts styles. It is a mixture of various Martial Arts styles blended together with high-flying acrobatics and gymnastics. ATA XMA is what the kids are seeing on TV and the movies. The goal of ATA XMA is to take the skills our students have and take them to the next or "Xtreme" level. The ATA XMA program helps challenge the students to become better than they ever thought possible.
Mike Chat, creator of XMA, describes his program as: "The ability to perform highly skilled moves and also the ability to perform basic moves and make them look spectacular! This is why XMA is not only for the elite level athletes and competitors, but also for beginners at the entry level as well. It is the look in one's eyes and position of one's body that tells the story. It's not only about punching and kicking, or jumping and flipping, but more, showing strength through the mind as well as the body. To stand planted with your feet on the ground and command the attention of the audience without sound or movement, using only the look in your eyes and the strength of your stance, actually shows more power than any punch, kick or flip. That's Xtreme!"
With XMA we train and condition our bodies to test our physical limits, but at the same time, through this training, we also develop mental strength and tenacity to aid in overcoming physical challenges. Life presents us with many obstacles on all different levels, and XMA is here to help you feel more confident in dealing with these challenges, mentally, physically and emotionally.
